Definitions
- Vision
- A statement describing Temecula’s approach to sustaining a high quality of life enjoyed by its residents.
- Core Value
- A statement of the values that comprise Temecula’s vision of its desired quality of life.
- Goal
- Outcomes the community desires to achieve in order to attain its desired quality of life. The City has overall goals, or aspirations, and also specific goals and objectives within each Core Value area.
- Performance Indicator
- Data points used to measure progress towards achieving Core Value goals.
- Strategic Priorities
- Projects to help implement the goals within each Core Value.
- Quality of Life Master Plan
- A framework of goals and performance measures that the City uses in its planning and budgeting process. Each City Department sets annual service goals in the budgeting process and is measured against those goals during the following year’s budget process. In addition, each project included in the Capital Improvement Program is aligned with the QLMP Core Values and must be justified in terms of how it helps to achieve the Core Value objectives.
